1. Next generation low cost, high performance NiMH battery:
· Step 1 : Lower Cost
· Step 2 : Improve Reliability .... Reduce capacity variability; and
.... Improve elevated temperature performance.
By following these two steps, we will achieve low cost, high performance NiMH batteries thereby giving us a head start over our competition.
2. Introduce New Substrate (3DF) and New Battery Materials
· 3DF substrate is a critical new component for our new generation, lower cost NiMH batteries. Mass production of this substrate material began in 2005.
· Improved active Ni(OH)2 and surface treated metal hydride aloys are being manufactured.
