By using the *3DF substrate for positive electrodes, we project a cost savings of more than 50% over the currently used foam metal substrate electrodes.

The Ni(OH)2 currently used as the active material in the positive electrode exhibits poor charge acceptance at elevated temperatures resulting in batteries with lower capacity. We are solving this problem by using a proprietary solid solution treatment that elevates the oxygen evolution over-voltage of the material.

We are developing metal hydride alloy surface treatments that allow greater stability and longer life especially at elevated temperatures.

We are also developing an improved thinner separator.
